Okay, so we had a patient come in the other night to our ER... He had WAY too much ETOH on board. He was being very loud and crazy acting. He was trying to hit at all of our nursing staff, spitting, yelling, just trying to raise cain in general. We put him in some soft restraints, but that obviously was not good enough. This was one of those nights when everything was just a crazy mad house in general! Every room was full, we had codes, traumas, really sick people and we were just crazy busy! That's when I heard a nurse that had just been walking past this guy's room when she yelled for us to call security... This guy was seriously taking a dump in the trash can!!! REALLY! If you need to use the restroom, even if you are acting crazy and even if we are extremely busy, we can still get you at least a bedside comode!! Some people just really amaze me! I think that's what makes me come back to this place so often... The things people do will never cease to amaze me!!
